The Salvatore House was built in 1914 for the Founder's Council. Giuseppe was responsible for trapping twenty six vampires in a cellar to burn but failed. His wife Lily provided him with two sons, Damon and Stefan, before she passed away from an illness. After an incident he shot both sons, only for them to come back as vampires.
