Originally built in 1825 by sea captain Humphry Hindsight. He built this house in the desert because he felt he needed to dry out, Hindsight House burned down almost to the ground, all but the tower, and was rebuilt by HIndisght's youngest daughter and her husband, Maimie and Frederick Kornbum.
