Up until a few years ago, the Pleasantview library was run as a subscription library, and access to its premises was limited to those who paid a subscription fee. But a generous sponsor decided to change this, hoping to bring culture closer to the people. Thanks to his donation, the library’s door were opened to the wider public, who can now access the library’s archive free of charge.
