Once a defensive keep built on the Crumbling Isle to keep watch for invading armies, this castle was renovated many times over the years before finally being abandoned in 1237. Now a National Park, tourists walk it's ruined and over grown splendor and enjoy the beauty of it's grounds. That said, the last Lord's wife, Lady Cordellia was said to be imprisioned in the castle for high crimes.
