In the Crowne's early days, the motel and resturant was Strangerville's social center. Good food at good prices, cheap bar drinks and cozy accomodations for out of town travellers. It was the place to meet up with friends or make new ones. However, over time the already struggling economy of Strangerville worsened, and the motel was not immune from the effects.
