This is a big family house. There is place for 6 sims a cat and a dog. If you want you can allways change some bedroom if you don't play with 6 sims. I played with a family with 2 parents and 2 twins (2 boys and 2 girls). I will also share my household as it is now (2 adolts, the 2 girls as teens and the boys as kids) If you want to use them you can and you can always change a few things.
