San Rocco's by the Sea is named for Saint Rocco (1295-1327), the Patron Saint of dogs, surgeons, gravediggers and others. He is invoked against epidemics and plagues. In addition to the beautiful nave and choir loft, the Church offers numerous community ammenities, including a youth group center, soup kitchen, gathering pavilion, and daycare.
