On my postal route there's a house that really stands out among the cookie-cutter McMansions that infest the area. It's an old farmhouse, well maintainted, with a wild pond out front. It's from before the area became gentrified, before the developers bought up all the farmland and put snaky housing developments on them. It makes me smile every time I go by.
