Completed in 1901, this REAL Newport #mansion was famously known as the summer #home for Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind, who made their fortune in the coal industry. The Elms was designed by Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer and modeled after the mid-18th century #French #Chateau d'Asnieres located just outside Paris.
