In 1965, Mr. McLauren was a very dedicated photographer in Newcrest. Unfortunaley, during the pandemic which contaminated the city in 1972, he was found dead in his bedroom holding his old camera. Since then, the City Hall has recognized him as the most influencer artist of the city. His house was turned into a museum celebrating Newcrest's History.
