A 33 room traditional Chinese mansion. Based on real House Of Tan Yeok Nee in Singapore. Built in the architecture of Chaozhou state, around 8 courtyards. In 1902 a 'Western style' second storey was added on the left. The wings held bedrooms for children, youth and servants. The main building at the rear held bedrooms for the men of the house. As with all rich Chinese high society, their houses are a mix of Chinese and Western styles. #singapore #chinese #historic
