A 33 room traditional Chinese mansion. 3/4 scaled real House Of Tan Yeok Nee in Singapore. The real house was built in the architecture of Chaozhou style, around 8 courtyards. In 1902 a 'Western style' second storey was added on the left. The wings held bedrooms for children, youth and servants. The main building at the rear held bedrooms for the heads of the house. As with all rich Chinese high society, their houses are a mix of Chinese and Western styles. #singapore #chinese #historic
