LuTai, or Deer Terrace, was the palace of King Zhou. His reign lasted from 1075 B.C. to 1046 B.C.. In the early part of his reign he was an intelligent and just king, but he fell under the influence of his evil wife, Daji, and commited all manner of evil and cruel deeds with her. He was later overthrown and commited suicide by setting his own palace on fire.
