Before it was a shopping destination Magnolia Promenade was a murky bayou of sinking estates and above-ground graveyards. All that remains of its antebellum past is the old mausoleum, now preserved as an historic landmark. A handful of ancient families known as 'The Legacies' still inter their loved ones in its refurbished chambers.
