The Crusty Pie Café was founded in 1926 and it's still a very popular meeting point. An old inn named The Simmick Inn was located there before the café. The Inn was closed in 1869 and the building was long abandoned until 1923 when a renovation for the café started. The building has a rich history including fatal fires and plagues, it was used as an hospital for plague victims from 1665 to 1666.
