Captain Berthold "Eyepatch" Conrad, the first Sim explorer to arrive in what is now Newcrest, accidentally ran his ship aground, due to his compromised depth perception, he stranded the crew, making them reluctant settlers. Today, their stranded ship and the surrounding woods make up Founders' Folly National Park. The park features a campground, fishing, ranger station exhibits, and full shower facilities.
