On the south coast of Iceland’s Snæfellsnes peninsula, there’s a village with only a hotel and a tiny black church called the Búðakirkja (Budir). This church is a standout in the area as it is all black agasint the stunning mountain clad greenery of Iceland. The specific location is also unique as the church sits upon a lava field.
