Myrtle was the last lighthousekeeper in Brindelton and the first woman to do the job. She cleaned the windows, kept the lights going and loved to watch the ever rolling waves crashing on the shore. Not an easy life, but for a loner like Myrtle a rewarding one. She died after the automated lighthouse on the island was build.
