Many years ago, this lot was bought by a rich developer to build a small apartment building. However, a group of protesters scared away their business when they tied themselves to the large tree at the back of the lot. So, the lot stayed empty. The local government zoned it as a landfill, but there was already a small art commune living there. So now it's a landfill and art center. #artscenter #landfill
