The apocalypse lead to the collapse of society as we know it... but luckily you happened to be out of town (in the middle of no-where, actually) on a camping trip, so you were saved from the apocalypse... for now. Until you can get word from the outside world, you have decided to stay at camp for a while, having to forage for everything you need.
