All great things were once set a blaze. The DeHaven Memorial Atheneum was founded in the late 1500's as a santuary for witches and books alike. The building was built by William, Isabel, and Anne DeHaven; conjuring siblings who's specialties in magic allowed them to create a safe haven during the book and witch burnings of their time. The home was almost destroyed in 1679 by non-magics whom underestimated the DeHaven's desire to keep history from turning to ashes. #library #witch #old #antique
