When the government closed many police station doors (reason....money), this neighbourhood wasn't going to take it laying down. The council allowed them to use the old police station for their base of operations. They were initially inspired by the movie #TheBurbs (Ray Peterson/Tom Hanks) The old jail had even a tent for conjugal visits.
