Penny Lane was the most popular movie star when this motel was built, which in itself was a real popular place back in the middle of the 20th century. As time went on, Strangerville became less and less popular due to increased weirdness, taking the hotel with it. In the end, all it took was the falling of a transplanted palm tree on the sign for the motel to be deemed "unsafe" and "hazardous to Sim health", be run out of business, and put up for sale. #Strangerville
