Maëlys was drawn in by Mirembe's enamouring letters to explore the island of her imagination. The dream expanded beyond Maëlys' wildest expectations, as did the boundries of their friendship in to an unforseen love. The pair share a desire to clean, conserve and sustain the island of Sulani, both upon the sand and at sea.
