The Clamms is rumoured to be a family with some magical aspects. The granny, Jupiter, has roots from the first mermaids on the island. Both her and her daugther, Ariel, have these special 'powers'. Though, both thought that the legacy of the mermaid gene would go lost, because Ariel couldn't find a man with the mermaid gene as well.
