Since Elijah's wife passed away he has struggled to raise Mila by himself, although he has given her everything she needs, he is starting to fear for the future because, with her being so young, he is currently unable to get a full time job, and he fears that being an only parent with a part time job will mean that he won't be able to afford to send her to University/College when she is older.
