The myth of a murderous, evil driven mermaid on the hunt for lovers and single lonely women dates back to 100 AD of #Sulani islands when a king was betrayed by his love for a woman foreigner, who was in search of conquest and was already married (unbeknownst to the king). The king at the discovery of this murdered his love but it was too late, his people had been enslaved by the nation of origin of the king's former love and was driven away by his own angered tribe to the sea, vowing vengence.
