Kori was seeking adventure while Elle was seeking... a way out. They still ask themselves to this day whether it was coincidence or fate that they met on that sunny late August morning in Granite Falls. Kori took the route most familiar to them, while Elle took a wrong turn and got lost. Somewhere in the middle the two met. Kori helped Elle find her way back to her campsite and before they could leave, Elle invited Kori to a bonfire to say thank you.
