It is unclear why Robert Mann, local millionaire, had so many lifelike monuments in his own image made before his death. Nobody knows why or how they're moved so frequently around the grounds of his mansion. One day he watches from the attic window, the next by the pond. The village children swear that the eyes move behind the sunglasses if you get close enough.
