Neecie is based on my grandmother. She was a world traveler who visited over 100 countries, went back to school to get her Doctorate in Education when she was in her 50s, and got a tattoo on a barroom floor in Tahiti when she was in her 70s. Her favorite color was red, so she dyed her hair red, wore red lipstick, and wore red constantly. My grandmother was a one of a kind woman who taught me that I could be whatever I wanted to be. #elder
