Jordan wasn't alsways insane. Since Jordan was young, the dream of becoming a famous painter was the foucus. This was the goal. Unfortunately, becoming a young adult ended up showing Jordan that maybe they were a smaller fish than they thought they were. The rejection and constant judgements of pieces of their soul (their paintings) sent Jordan into a crisis of sorts.
