House Tarly! I don't really know about the women of the family (like even the names of Sam's 2 other sisters!) so I had to imagine. Like, Sam thinks his mother would easily accept Gilly, so perhaps she's family oriented, and perhaps Sam got his love of books or knowledge from her? Hence the traits.
