Marina Downing is the only child of the renowned Oceanographer, her father Dr. Desmond Downing and her mother Dr. Susan Downing, also a highly successful Brain Surgeon. Even though both of her parents are highly skilled in their fields, Marina was greatly influenced by her father, tagging along on so many of his escapades.
