the miyoshi family is a close one, all born and raised at the base of the mountain. Elle moved to Mt. Komorebi when she was very young and basically grew up witth Naoko. As they grew up they fell in love and eventually got married. Then they had the twins, Naoko's brother moved in and things got tense as their sibling rivalry resurfaced.
