The Ibizan Hound originated from ancient Egyptian breeds that travelled all the way to Spain. There the breed was bred to hunt rabbits as a means of food for their humans, and it is thought that some guarded Ancient Egyptian tombs. They have a lot of energy and a stubborn streak.
