Dina's parents lost everything when they fled Bosnia in 1995, but found completion when Dina was born thirteen years later. Born with DiGeorge Syndrome (a microdeletion of Chromasome 22), Dina faces intellectual and physical delays, frequent infections, and hypothyroidism, but her parents support her every step of the way.
