Divorcees Brooks and Alicia always understood rolling with the punches. Brooks' daughter Kelsi was born with a moderate form of Treacher Collins Syndrome, never fully developing twelve of her facial bones. Alicia's son Kane was born with Waardenburg Syndrome, leaving him partially deaf, among other symptoms. Meeting at a BBQ one day, the parents hit it off, and two families became one.
