I dedicate this to a good friend. Like him, Eddie has Williams Syndrome, a genetic disorder characterised by "elfin" features and an outgoing personality. Despite deletions of over 29 genes, the disorder is not immediately dangerous, though heart disease later in life is expected. Mental capacity varies case by case, though as Eddie's is more severe, he has the mental age of an eight-year-old. Nevertheless, he is cheerful and kind, full of life's potential. #disabilitypride #williamssyndrome
