As a mermaid, he spends a great deal of time in the ocean and has noticed the growing pollution and tries his best to live as eco-friendly as possible to preserve all life forms on land and sea alike. His twin sister, Fern, is anti-consumerism and enjoys thrifting and dumpster diving - and she makes sure everyone knows about it so she can get plenty of compliments and praise for it.
