As a child, Coaimhe was told by her Irish grandmother that her name was a term of endearment, meaning princess. When she became an adult, she found out that her name had been mispelled for all her life, and actually should have been spelled Caoimhe. It is pronounced KEE vah, and means beautiful, not princess. Learning this information made her feel as if her whole life was a lie, and as a result, she suffered a severe identity crisis and a nervous breakdown. #teasimstown
