Dr. Schubert is- was an excellent scientist. He has discovered all teh moodlet potions the sims knows, he even invented some crystals. When his involvement in the strangerville mystery was discovered, everything went downhill. He was abducted by aliens and tortured by kid spellcasters that ruined his face.
