Years ago, at the annual farmer's fair Mrs Manley's priced aubergine got stolen. The calprit was Mrs Cronk, according to Mrs Manley. Because you see-there has always been a feud between the 2 fams. It started when Mr Cronk said that Mrs Manley's peach patch was the prettiest that he's ever seen. That made Mrs Cronk jealous, obviously.
