Allie wasn't always part of a crime family (nor named Allie). Her parents couldn't pay Mr. Tipton back, so he decided they weren't fit to care for a child. Allie's sticky fingers however wouldn't bode well with the family's clean look. Maria, a commissional thief and family friend had a safe apartment in a good school district. Allie was in good hands... probably #plumbobber11 (this was not the original plan, but I have a thing for 'troubled' children)
