Molossus

The Molossus is an extinct breed of old world dog that is believed to be the ancestor of all mastiff breeds. The molossus originated in Epirus, Greece, and was spread across Europe by the Romans who used it as a working, hunting, and war dog. The Molossus was bred to protect sheep from wild beasts such as bears, thus it may be the world's oldest breed of beardog. The molossus is large, stubborn, and aggressive, making it a less-than-ideal pet for families. #Molossus #RomanMolossus #RomanBeardog
