The Foxtones are a rebel music band that incorporate trad music in their songs. Formed in 1963, they take their name from Theobald Fox Tone, one of the leaders of the Rebellion of 1798, with the double meaning of a fox tone – a spurious sound that can affect instruments of the violin family. 3 kids from the suburb of Henford on Bagley, Brian Peacefield, Noel Beagle, and Liam Yardney, had been musical friends from childhood.
