Mia and Amie Tamayo are sisters, a few years apart, but very close. With an indegenous mother of Myan decent and a father decended from a slave brought over by the Spanish in the late 1700's to cut timber in Belize, the rich culture that they share is ingrained in thir work and passion. Mia hopes to further advances in medicine and works to reeducate doctors in the misconceptions about how POC feel pain. Amie uses her art as an exploration and celebration of her culture. #hispanicheritagemonth
