She uses foundation to (partially) cover up her scales, which are much more visible when she swims or goes to sleep. She also always wears long skirts and false shoes to cover up her tail, and because of these hindrances she has a somewhat goofy walk. Aqua left her family for the human world because she wants to be a famous singer.
