John Lennon
#JohnLennon (born 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an #English #singer, #songwriter, #artist and #peace #activist who achieved worldwide #fame as the #founder, co-lead #vocalist, and #rhythm #guitarist of #theBeatles. In 1969, he started the #PlasticOnoBand with his second #wife, #YokoOno. After moving to #NewYorkCity in 1971, his #criticism of the #VietnamWar resulted in many attempts by the #RichardNixon #administration to #deport him. He was #murdered by a #deranged #fan in 1980.
