Josie was born Li Chun Fung in Guangzhou province to a high-ranking "RED POLE" enforcer in the Siu-wong triad and a beautiful prostitute called the "Lace Butterfly," who died shortly thereafter from a heroin overdose. Her father became "Deputy Mountain Master" of the largest triad in the region.
