#cgscaschallenge Maya Angelou is an amazing writer and a very powerful figure in black history. She wrote many powerful pieces that can be admired timelessly, such as: "I Rise", "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings", and "Love & Liberation". Through her work, she told the struggle of black women everywhere, but also lifted us up and told us to self-love. I admire her greatly.
